August 2008 Baptisms
In early August 2008, 13-year old Andre, along with his 11-year old sister,
Zhana, were baptized into Christ. Although Andre's still very young, he's
already talking about wanting to go into full-time ministry. You may remember
another Andre who had previously attended KRCC for over a year. He had also
desired to be immersed into Christ, but his mother just would not allow it.
He too had spoken openly about his potential plan to enter the ministry.
Unfortunately, his mother noticed what was happening and eventually forbade
him from attending our church altogether. Thankfully, though, Andre and
Zhana have a Mom, Tanya, who not only encourages them to attend KRCC, but she
even attends regularly herself. In fact, Tanya is also preparing to be baptized
and probably will sometime in the near future.

Leda is a neighbor and friend of the family, who also joined us for the celebration.
Zhana having some fun after her baptism. Later, as we all walked
down the beach together, Zhana turned to me and said: "It's wonderful! The fact
that I'm forgiven is just starting to sink in!"
